Anyone who'd like to de-stupid themselves vis a vis politics (me for instance) should do 2 things: 1) purpose in their hearts to never, ever watch FOX News including any/all FOX pundits; and 2) watch 'Up with Chris Hayes' on Saturday & Sunday morning. It is the smartest political conversation on TV, bar none.
This morning while watching it, I heard what was done to Chuck Hagel described as "a Maoist era public shaming." I didn't know what that was so I looked it up.
Definition from that scary leftist website Wikipedia: "... a form of public humiliation used by the Communist Party of China in the Mao Zedong era to shape public opinion and to humiliate, persecute, and/or execute political rivals and so-called class enemies. In general, the victim of a struggle session was forced to admit to various crimes before a crowd of people who would verbally and physically abuse the victim until he or she confessed."
I watched a genuine hero and a deeply good man be savaged by a handful of chicken @!$%# creeps who've sold their sorry souls to the maniacal right for only God knows how many pieces of silver. I was as ashamed as I remember being in some time.
